Junes Picnic and Stone
We all had a great day down at South Hill Park, eating our picnics and ice cream!
Everyone enjoyed the sunshine. ☼
We decorated lots of stones and hid them around South Hill Park for people to find!
We have some FABULOUS artists here at Sorelle! :)
We are delighted to share the news that Siobhan Wood has passed her interview with care Quality commission and is now the new Registered manager of Sorelle Support.
Siobhan joined Sorelle Support in November 2015.
Having never worked in health and social care before, Siobhan showed amazing commitment in her role as a support worker & successfully completed her Level 3 Diploma in the first year of employment.
Recognising how well Siobhan was doing we promoted her to senior support worker, by 2016 Siobhan started to work alongside the management team in the office as assistant manager. Siobhan showed such great management skills we decided it was time for her to progress, she then began her Level 5 Diploma in health and social care.
Siobhan has been a breath of fresh air offering a caring service to our supported people and continued commitment to support her team and her co-workers.
We would like to congratulate Siobhan on her progression within the company and in her promotion as Registered Manager.
Let’s support Siobhan in her new role as Registered manager, this role comes with huge responsibility of which we know Siobhan will excel in.
Well Done!Jan 192017
Escape Reading is a real-life room escape game based in Reading. The game offers a fun, team-building, brain-busting experience!
After entering a room with your team, the door is locked behind you. 60 minutes are on the clock! Success, failure and bonding are inevitable – escape is not!
Two of our supported guys and their support workers went along to see if they could solve the clues...
Luckily, they were eventually allowed to leave. A brilliant activity that encouraged them to work as a team which they all thoroughly enjoyed.
We could say lots of nice things about many of our staff that work at Sorelle but to really recognise those who have been outstanding, we decided to do a little vote to find our employee of the year.
This was not an easy decision but we looked at a range of factors including being forward thinking, having job ownership and thinking outside the box when it comes to achieving client goals.
We whittled the list down to three employees, so our top 3 members of staff of 2016 are the following -
3rd Prize goes to Lucy, Lucy has a 100% absence record! She is one of best, and we only ever hear great things about her from our supported people.
2nd Prize goes to Jolene, Jolene’s commitment to bringing people together and the work she has been doing with the groups has helped Sorelle to shine! We couldn’t of done it without her.
1st Prize goes to Natasha, Tash supplies such amazing service to everyone. She is a truly valued member of the team & met every factor in our decision making.
Well done to everyone this year, everyone has come so far and it's because of all of your hard work. Let's have another great year :)
In December, Sorelle hosted a Christmas Crafts day at Jealotts Hill. This was organised for our supported people by one of our members of staff, Jolene. There was lots of mince pies, Christmas music and crafts. Everyone decorated a terracotta plant pot so they could plant tulips, they socialised and had the chance to meet other people within the company.
It was a very lovely day had by all and we hope to organise more of these throughout the year.
We are pleased to announce that we have promoted Kaley Bennett to care coordinator, Kaley has been part of the Sorelle Support team since the very beginning. Kaley will be working alongside Gemma over the next 8 weeks and be in the full swing of her new role at the end of August this year!
